UPI payments in Tiram: record, track, and follow up on dues

Quick answer

Tiram treats UPI as a first-class payment mode: save your business UPI ID once in your organization profile, record any invoice or Quick Bill payment as UPI alongside cash, card, bank transfer, or credit, and mark a pending invoice paid in one tap the moment a UPI transfer lands in your bank. It's included on every Tiram plan.

1

Workflow step

Saving your business UPI ID

Settings → Profile has a UPI ID field, alongside your GSTIN, address, and logo — set it once for your organization. It's used for reference across the app, including as a variable you can drop into a WhatsApp message template so a customer sees exactly where to send a payment.

2

Workflow step

Recording a payment as UPI

At Quick Bill checkout or on any invoice, choose UPI as the payment mode alongside cash, card, bank transfer, or credit — including split payments, where part of a bill is settled by UPI and the rest another way.

3

Workflow step

Marking an invoice paid by UPI in one tap

For a customer who transfers via UPI after the fact — common for credit/khata customers settling up — open their invoice or ledger and mark the payment received as UPI. It posts immediately to the customer's running balance, the same way a cash or card payment would.

4

Workflow step

Following up on pending dues

A UPI payment that hasn't come in yet is just an outstanding balance like any other — see [receivables aging](/resources/collections/receivables-aging-defaulters) to find who owes you and how overdue they are, and [digital khata](/resources/collections/digital-khata-udhaar-book) for the full running ledger behind it.

5

Workflow step

Seeing UPI in your reports

Because UPI is a real payment-mode tender rather than a manual note, every UPI payment shows up correctly in your daily sales and payment-mode-mix reporting — so you can see exactly how much of a day's revenue came in via UPI versus cash, card, or credit.

Workflow step

Which Tiram plan includes UPI payment recording?

UPI as a payment mode — saving your UPI ID, recording UPI payments, one-tap mark-paid, and payment-mode reporting — is included on every Tiram plan, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, on both the cloud app and the offline desktop app.
