Sales analytics: what's selling, by product, category, and customer

Quick answer

Tiram's Sales Analytics, inside Reports → Insights → Sales, break down what's actually selling: by product (with margin), by category, by customer (with a product-mix drill-down), plus top-and-bottom movers and a customer performance scorecard with a churn flag. It's included on the Gold and Platinum plans; Silver gets a same-day Today's Sales snapshot but not this deeper analysis.

1

Workflow step

Sales summary, with period comparison

A date-bucketed summary (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly) of invoices, taxable value, tax, and revenue — with an optional compare-to-previous-period view, so you can see at a glance whether this month is ahead of last month, not just what this month looked like in isolation.

2

Workflow step

Sales by product and by category

Sales by product ranks every SKU by quantity sold, revenue, cost, and margin — the fastest way to see which products are actually profitable, not just popular. Sales by category rolls the same figures up to the category level, with each category's share of total revenue, so you can see which parts of your catalog are carrying the business.

3

Workflow step

Sales by customer, with a product-mix drill-down

See revenue, invoice count, and unique SKUs purchased per customer — and expand any customer to see exactly what they bought. Useful for spotting your highest-value accounts, or noticing a regular customer who's quietly stopped buying a product they used to order every month.

4

Workflow step

Top and bottom movers, and the customer performance scorecard

A ranked Top/Bottom movers view (by revenue or quantity) surfaces both your best sellers and your slowest-moving stock side by side. The Customer Performance scorecard goes further per customer — average order value, days since last purchase, and a computed churn flag when a customer hasn't ordered in roughly twice their usual gap between purchases, so a quiet account gets flagged before it's a lost one.

Which Tiram plan includes sales analytics?

Sales analytics — sales-by-product/category/customer, top/bottom movers, and the customer performance scorecard — are included on the Gold and Platinum plans; the Silver plan does not include them, on either the cloud app or the offline desktop app. Every plan, including Silver, still has Today's Sales, a single-day operational snapshot, on the main dashboard.

Quick answers

Can I see which products sell best in Tiram?
Yes — Sales by product ranks every SKU by quantity, revenue, cost, and margin, and a separate Top/Bottom movers view highlights best and slowest sellers side by side.
Can I see which customers are buying less than before?
Yes — the Customer Performance scorecard computes a churn flag when a customer's gap since their last purchase is roughly double their historical average.
Which Tiram plan includes sales analytics by product and category?
Gold and Platinum. Silver includes only Today's Sales, a same-day snapshot, not the deeper product/category/customer analysis.
Can I compare this month's sales to last month's?
Yes — the Sales Summary report supports a period-over-period comparison view.

FAQs

Where do I find sales analytics in Tiram?
Reports → Insights → Sales, covering summary, by-product, by-category, by-customer, top movers, and customer performance.
Does the sales-by-product report show profit margin, not just revenue?
Yes — it shows quantity, revenue, cost (from FIFO), margin, and margin percentage per SKU.
Can I see what a specific customer has been buying?
Yes — Sales by customer expands each customer row into their exact product mix.
Is sales analytics available on Silver?
Not the full Insights tab — Silver has Today's Sales on the dashboard; the deeper product/category/customer breakdowns require Gold or Platinum.
How does the churn flag work?
It compares a customer's time since their last purchase to their historical average gap between purchases, and flags them once that gap roughly doubles.
