Set a campaign once, let it keep going

Choose Every week, Every month or Every year in the campaign builder, and when a send finishes Tiram creates the next occurrence for you — scheduled for its own date, with its audience worked out on the morning it goes. Cancelling the upcoming send is how you end the series.

The campaigns worth repeating

Repetition earns its place when the message is the same every time but the audience isn't.

The monthly khata nudge
A gentle reminder to customers carrying credit, on the same date each month, reaching whoever is actually overdue that month.
The Diwali or Pongal greeting
Set it yearly once. Next year it schedules itself instead of being remembered on the day.
The weekly fresh-stock message
One weekly send to your best customers, so a Friday habit doesn't depend on someone being free on Friday.
The rolling win-back
Monthly, aimed at customers who have gone quiet — a genuinely different list every month, which is the whole reason a stored list would be wrong.

How to set one up

It is one extra field on a campaign you were creating anyway.

  1. Build the campaign as usual

Name it, pick an approved marketing template, and add a header image if you use one.

  2. Choose the audience by rule, not by hand

For a repeating campaign, pick one of the computed groups — customers who owe you, customers who stopped buying, points expiring, and so on. A hand-picked list would repeat to the same names forever, which is rarely what a series is for.

  3. Set the first date and time

A repeating campaign needs a start: the builder asks you to pick the date and time this should first go out, because every later occurrence is measured from it.

  4. Choose how often it repeats

Every week, every month or every year. The default is Doesn't repeat, so nothing becomes a series by accident.

  5. Let the first one send

When it finishes, the next occurrence appears as a scheduled draft on its own date. It carries a notice saying it was created automatically, with a link back to the previous one.

  6. Stop it whenever you like

Cancel the upcoming send. A cancelled campaign never completes, and nothing clones from it — so cancelling the pending occurrence ends the series without needing an off switch to remember.

What happens on the awkward dates

A monthly series meets February, a template gets rejected, a month has nobody in the group. Each case is handled one specific way, on purpose.

Edge cases in a repeating campaign, and the behaviour each produces.
SituationWhat Tiram doesWhy

A monthly series that started on the 31st

Sends on the last day of a shorter month, and continues on that day from then on

A shop that bills on the last day of the month means the last day, not the 3rd of the next one. The day is clamped to the month's length rather than overflowing.

Nobody matches the group this time

The occurrence rolls forward to the next date; the series survives

One quiet month must not silently kill a series you were relying on.

The template was rejected, the budget is spent, or the number is disconnected

The next occurrence is left as a draft and the series pauses for a person

Retrying would spend money against a guardrail that just said no. A pause you can see beats a loop you can't.

An image or document header older than about a month

The send is refused and the series pauses

Meta's uploaded media ids expire. Re-uploading the artwork is your decision — sending a broken message is not something to fake past.

You cancel the upcoming send

The series ends there

Cloning only ever happens when a send completes, so a cancelled one is the end of the chain.

You want to see how each round performed

Every occurrence is its own campaign with its own delivery and read numbers

A single row accumulating twelve months of sends would tell you nothing about which month worked.

What the series leaves you

A repeating campaign should be auditable a year later, not a black box that sends things.

One campaign row per occurrence

Each send keeps its own reach, delivery rate, read rate and message log, so you can compare this Diwali to last Diwali.

A visible link between rounds

An auto-created occurrence says so on its own page and links the previous one, so the chain is followable in both directions.

What stops a series running away

An automation that sends money-costing messages needs limits you don't have to trust anyone to remember.

  • Nothing repeats unless you choose it. The default is Doesn't repeat, and every campaign created before this feature existed stays a one-shot send.

  • Only occurrences Tiram created launch by themselves. Your own unfinished draft, even a scheduled one, is never launched behind your back.

  • The audience is resolved on the day, never inherited. That is what makes a monthly series honest instead of a frozen list re-messaged twelve times.

  • Your spend ceiling and Meta's daily limit apply to every occurrence, exactly as they do to a manual send.

  • One clone per completed send, guaranteed. The next occurrence is created at a single point in the lifecycle, so a restart or an overlapping run cannot produce two.

Which plan includes recurring campaigns

Recurring WhatsApp campaigns are part of the WhatsApp module, included on the Gold and Platinum plans. The Silver plan does not include WhatsApp campaigns of any kind.

There is no separate automation add-on and no per-campaign fee from Tiram: Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business account for the messages themselves. The gate is identical on cloud and on the Windows/Mac desktop app.

FAQs

Can I schedule a WhatsApp campaign to repeat every month?
Yes. Set the first send date and choose Every month in the Repeat field; when a send completes, the next month's occurrence is scheduled automatically.
What happens to a monthly campaign in February?
The day is clamped to the length of the month, so a series started on the 31st sends on the 28th or 29th in February and continues on that day afterwards.
Does a repeating campaign message the same people every time?
Not if you choose a computed audience — the group is resolved on the day each occurrence sends, so a win-back reaches this month's lapsed customers rather than a stored list.
How do I stop a campaign from repeating?
Cancel the upcoming send. Nothing is cloned from a cancelled campaign, so the series ends there.
What if one occurrence fails to send?
If nobody matched the group, it rolls to the next date. Any other refusal — a rejected template, an exhausted budget, a disconnected number — leaves the occurrence as a draft and pauses the series for you to fix.
Is there a limit on how long a series runs?
No end date is set. It continues while the pending occurrence exists, which is why cancelling that occurrence is the deliberate off switch.
