How to run a WhatsApp marketing campaign with Tiram

Quick answer

Tiram's campaigns broadcast a Meta-approved marketing template to your existing customers over WhatsApp — a festival offer, a new-stock announcement, a re-engagement nudge. A three-step builder picks the template, chooses the audience (all customers, or a selected list), and shows the estimated reach, opted-out exclusions, and estimated cost before you send or schedule. Delivery, read, and failure counts are then tracked per campaign. WhatsApp is a Gold-and-Platinum-plan feature; the Silver plan does not include it.

1

Workflow step

What a WhatsApp campaign is good for

A campaign is how you reach every customer at once on the channel they actually read. The classic uses for an Indian shop or distributor: a festival or clearance offer, a ‘new stock has arrived’ announcement, a price-drop alert, a back-in-stock nudge, or a gentle re-engagement message to customers who haven't visited in a while.

The key word is existing customers. WhatsApp campaigns go to people already in your customer list — not cold, purchased numbers, which violate WhatsApp's rules and get numbers banned. Tiram is built around that: your campaign audience is drawn straight from the customers you already bill.

2

Workflow step

Which Tiram plan includes WhatsApp campaigns?

WhatsApp campaigns are included in Tiram's Gold and Platinum plans. The Silver plan does not include them — the WhatsApp section, including Campaigns, doesn't appear on Silver, and the WhatsApp APIs are plan-gated.

It's a plan-tier gate, not a platform gate: campaigns work the same on the cloud app and the offline Windows/Mac desktop app (delivery and read receipts, which power the campaign analytics, arrive via Meta's webhook on the cloud app). Moving up to Gold turns on the full WhatsApp channel — campaigns, one-tap invoice sending, templates, contacts and opt-outs, and delivery activity — plus multiple warehouses, reward points, custom roles, and API keys.

3

Workflow step

Step 1 — pick a marketing template

A campaign can only send a message template that Meta has approved, so step one is choosing an approved marketing template. Tiram gives you three ways to have one ready: build a custom template in the editor and submit it for review, use a pre-vetted template from Meta's Template Library (approved instantly), or import one already on your WhatsApp Business Account.

Marketing templates can carry a header image, video, or document — a product photo or an offer graphic that goes to every recipient — plus placeholders like the customer's name. Getting templates approved and choosing the right category is covered in depth in the deliverability guide linked below.

4

Workflow step

Step 2 — choose your audience

Pick All customers, or a Selected list you choose by hand. As you do, Tiram shows the estimated reach live, so you always know how many people a send will hit.

Crucially, customers who have opted out are excluded automatically, and the builder tells you how many were removed — so you never accidentally message someone who asked you to stop. Who is subscribed and who has opted out is managed on the Contacts screen, drawn from the same customer list you bill every day, so there's no separate contact database to maintain.

5

Workflow step

Step 3 — see the cost, then schedule or send

Before anything goes out, Tiram shows the estimated cost of the campaign (valued at Meta's per-message marketing rate) and your remaining WhatsApp budget for the period, so a broadcast never quietly blows past the spend ceiling you set. If it would exceed your remaining budget, the send is blocked until you raise the cap.

Then choose Send now or Schedule for a specific date and time — a festival message can be lined up days ahead and Tiram sends it at the moment you picked. (If you schedule far out and your template uses a media header, the file may need re-uploading, since WhatsApp media stays valid for about 30 days.)

6

Workflow step

Tracking delivery, reads, and failures

Once a campaign runs, open it for a live delivery breakdown: the delivery rate, the read rate, and the status of every recipient — Queued, Sent, Delivered, Read, or Failed. Anything that failed can be retried in one tap, and a running campaign can be cancelled.

Because each recipient is tracked as its own message, the numbers update themselves as Meta reports back — you're reading real delivery data, not a guess. A campaign moves through clear states — Draft, Scheduled, Running, Completed, or Cancelled — so you always know where it stands.

7

Workflow step

Respecting opt-outs keeps campaigns landing

WhatsApp protects its users hard, and marketing messages are held to the strictest standard. When a customer replies STOP, Tiram records an opt-out automatically and drops them from every future campaign; you can also opt customers out — or back in — by hand on the Contacts screen.

Honouring opt-outs isn't just courtesy: opt-out complaints are exactly what lowers a number's quality rating and shrinks how many messages Meta lets you send. Tiram's automatic exclusion is what keeps a growing campaign list healthy. The full set of guardrails — template approval, messaging tiers, and spend caps — is in the deliverability guide below.

8

Workflow step

Campaigns plus reward points: a re-engagement loop

A campaign is most powerful when it carries a reason to come back. Pair a ‘we miss you’ broadcast with Tiram's reward points — remind lapsed customers of the points sitting in their balance, or announce a bonus-points week — and the message has a concrete hook, not just a discount.

Because customers, campaigns, and reward-point balances all live in the same Tiram org, you can run this loop without stitching tools together: bill customers, watch who's gone quiet, and win them back on the channel they read.

Quick answers

How do I send a marketing campaign on WhatsApp with Tiram?
Build a campaign in three steps: pick an approved marketing template, choose all or selected customers, then preview the cost and send now or schedule. Delivery and read rates are tracked per campaign. It's a Gold-and-Platinum-plan feature.
What plan includes WhatsApp campaigns in Tiram?
Gold and Platinum. The Silver plan does not include WhatsApp campaigns. The gate is the same on the cloud and offline desktop apps.
Can I send a WhatsApp campaign to only some customers?
Yes. Choose ‘All customers’ or a hand-picked ‘Selected’ list. Opted-out customers are excluded automatically, and the builder shows how many were removed.
Can I see how much a WhatsApp campaign will cost before sending?
Yes. The builder shows the estimated reach and estimated cost, plus your remaining WhatsApp budget for the period, before you send or schedule.
How do I know if a campaign was delivered and read?
Each campaign shows a live delivery rate, read rate, and per-recipient status. Failed messages can be retried in one tap.

FAQs

Are WhatsApp campaigns available on Tiram's Silver plan?
No. Campaigns ship on the Gold and Platinum plans. On Silver the WhatsApp section doesn't appear; upgrading to Gold enables it.
Can I schedule a campaign for later?
Yes. Send now, or schedule a date and time and Tiram sends it then. If the template uses a media header and you schedule far ahead, the file may need re-uploading — WhatsApp media stays valid about 30 days.
Do opted-out customers receive my campaign?
No. Customers who replied STOP or were opted out manually are excluded automatically, and the excluded count is shown before you send.
Can I add a product photo or offer graphic?
Yes. Marketing templates support an image, video, or document header that's sent to every recipient in the campaign.
What happens to messages that fail?
They show a Failed status with a reason, and you can retry the failed recipients in one tap from the campaign.
Will bulk campaigns get my WhatsApp number restricted?
Meta rate-limits business messaging by tier and penalises spam and opt-out violations. Tiram gates sends by your messaging tier and a spend cap, and auto-excludes opt-outs — see the deliverability guide for the full picture.
